History of Beta Delta Zeta Chapter
In the beginning, 1943, our late Founder and Grand Basileus Emeritus of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Soror Arizona C. Stemons, proceeded with the implementation of her desire to establish a graduate chapter in the Philadelphia area. She met with a group of graduate sorors and the members of Eta Chapter. Eta Chapter was a city chapter chartered on November 1, 1923, and was composed, basically, of Sorors who had obtained a normal college education and degrees from Schools of Pharmacy.

The final meeting of the Beta Delta Zeta Founding Group was held on October 14, 1944, where the Regional Director, Ruth White Willis, presented the Charter to 13 sorors; thus the birth of the Beta Delta Zeta Chapter.
